Metrolink has introduced North America's first zero-emission passenger train, the Zero-Emission Multiple Unit (ZEMU), in San Bernardino County.

The train uses hybrid hydrogen and battery technology, emitting only water vapor. With a capacity to travel 46 hours without charging, ZEMU will run on the Arrow line between San Bernardino and Redlands.
