India Adds 1.7 GW Solar Power

India added 1,733 MW of solar power capacity in July, taking the cumulative installed capacity to 87.2 GW at the end of month, according to ministry of new and renewable energy.

The pace of renewable energy capacity additions has picked up with more auctions and availability of equipment like solar modules and cells and wind turbines. India's target of reaching 500 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030 requires an annual addition of around 44 GW, as per latest report.
